“Why is pressure compensation necessary?”

Pressure compensation is necessary in the production of laminates to ensure that the area being pressed receives equal pressure, despite inaccuracies in platen and substrate parallelism.

Usually maximum heat transfer through the press pad is a major consideration.

The innovative silicone technology utilized in both Copsil™ and UltiMat™, ensure that both factors enjoy a consistently high performance over time.

A compensating medium of superior performance and strength

The use of a modified silicone elastomer in our latest press pad product, UltiMat™, means that there is a greater resistance to volatiles emanating from the lamination process.  This provides the user with a press pad that has a longer lifetime in use, thereby saving costs over time.
