Lightweight Polyester Webbing for the Biscuit Industry

View in PDF

Marathon Polyester Biscuit Webbings are woven from 100% staple polyester yarns and heat set to a specification which produces a versatile belt well suited to many applications in the Biscuit and Confectionery making industries.

Manufactured in a lightweight quality, the fine densely woven construction creates a belt which has a firm textured finish, with an even surface, combined with high tensile strength, flexibility and abrasion resistance.

Suitable for sprinkler & stripping applications and able to absorb and withstand the effects of salt, sugar, fats and edible oils, and especially suitable for high frequency ovens.

Joints can be made with mechanical fasteners (e.g. Steelace type) or by spliced and sewn joints.

Advantages:

  • Suitable for continuous operation at temperatures up to 320ºF (160ºC)
  • Can be used intermittently at temperatures up to 356ºF (180ºC)
  • High Strength/low stretch
  • Can be slit to width and heat sealed
  • Solid woven construction eliminates ply separation
  • Readily joined endless by splicing and sewing to give a flexible joint of similar thickness to the belt.
  • Negotiates knife edges with effective product release
  • Woven selvedges for superior edge abrasion resistance

Stocks are available in a selection of widths.
